Aries — The Emperor

Will, leadership and taking responsibility. The Emperor shows how Aries energy turns from impulse into structure: not only starting things, but building them.

Taurus — The Hierophant

Tradition, values and reliability. Like the Hierophant, Taurus relies on what is proven and knows how to be a support for others; the card’s lesson is not to confuse stability with standing still.

Gemini — The Lovers

Choice, dialogue and finding harmony between two sides. The Lovers remind Gemini that the most important decisions are made neither by the head nor the heart alone, but by both together.

Cancer — The Chariot

Moving forward under the protection of your own shell. The Chariot shows how Cancer’s sensitivity becomes strength when emotions are aimed at a goal.

Leo — Strength

Courage that does not need to shout. The lion on the card is tamed by gentleness — and Leo’s real strength lies in warmth and self-control, not dominance.

Virgo — The Hermit

Analysis, quiet and inner wisdom. The Hermit lights the way with a lantern — like Virgo, who finds answers in details and calm observation.

Libra — Justice

Balance, honesty and the consequences of decisions. Justice is Libra in its purest form: weigh every argument and choose what is right.

Scorpio — Death

Transformation, endings and rebirth. The Death card is not about the end of life but about deep change — the element where Scorpio feels most at home.

Sagittarius — Temperance

The search for meaning, balance and the middle way. Temperance blends opposites — just as Sagittarius combines adventure with philosophy, freedom with wisdom.

Capricorn — The Devil

Ambition, the material world and attachments. The Devil reminds Capricorn that career and control are useful until they become chains.

Aquarius — The Star

Hope, inspiration and faith in a better future. The Star is the card of visionaries, and Aquarius is the one who sees what the world could become.

Pisces — The Moon

Intuition, dreams and the subconscious. The Moon leads Pisces into a world of images and feelings; the card’s lesson is telling intuition apart from illusion.

Planets and tarot cards

The seven classical planets of astrology received their Arcana in the Golden Dawn system. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, discovered later, were given by modern readers the cards that used to correspond to the elements.

Elements and the Minor Arcana suits

The Minor Arcana are linked to astrology too — through the elements. Each suit corresponds to one element and three zodiac signs.

The numbered cards from two to ten are also divided into decans — ten-degree sections of the signs. For example, the Two of Wands is Mars in Aries, the Five of Cups is Mars in Scorpio and the Ten of Swords is the Sun in Gemini. The correspondence for each card is shown on its page in the library.

How to use your card

• When your card appears in a spread, pay special attention: it is talking about you.
• Use it as a significator — the card that represents you in a spread.
• Meditate on its image on your birthday to reflect on the year that has passed and the one that is beginning.
